José Nunez-Melo (born November 13, 1956) is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Canadian House of Commons in the 2011 election.[1] He represents the electoral district of Laval as a member of the New Democratic Party.

Originally from the Dominican Republic, where he ran a hotel in Puerto Plata, he moved to Canada in 1990. At the time of his election, he worked in customer service for Revenu Québec.[2]

Education

He graduated from Colegio San Luis Gonzaga in Santo Domingo in 1974.
